Review: R.I.P.D.

(Synopsis) - A recently slain cop joins a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department and tries to find the man who murdered him.
I was very disappointed with this. I was excited to see this but, after seeing it I wasn’t impressed. This movie features Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, Stephanie Szostak, James Hong, and Marisa Miller. The director of this movie is Robert Schwentke. I figured since this was based on a comic book the story would be good. The story was okay but, not that great. I thought the concept was actually pretty cool. There was a few funny moments but, not much else. Some of the action sequences were good. Most of the time I was bored waiting for something to happen. I couldn’t believe what a flop this movie was. It will probably be the biggest flop of the summer. I did like Jeff Bridges character. He was funny and was the best part of the movie. Ryan Reynolds was decent and I wasn’t a fan of Kevin Bacon in this movie. This reminded me of Men In Black but, a dumb down version that wasn’t good at all. It sucks when you look forward to a movie for months and it turns out it sucks and you wasted your time and money. To be honest I wouldn’t waste my time watching this again and neither should you. It is rated PG-13 and I give it 1 and a half stars.
